Gallup has Obama up 5 points in 7 days. A bump or a trend?

Look,  the closer we get to the 2012 election,  the better it will look for the Democrats.  It is this way every election. It was precisely like this in November of 2010.  In fact,  there was talk of the Dems increasing their hold on the House.

Conservatives have nothing more important to do but patiently wait.  The fear of voter fraud is real,  but on a national level,  it does not impact the election results of the president or senators.   It can and does make a difference on a local level, however,  especially as it relates to Representative elections.

Every year,  the Dems pull out their survey results and talk of their people as being "come back kids,"  "resilient in the face of defeat."  They own all the major network media, most of the print media,  and 90% of the televised media.  They played the media game during the two Bush 43 campaigns,  both Reagan elections, the 1994 take-over of congress under Newt's guidance and the tea party victories during the 2010 elections.  In each of these cases,  the conservative opponents were ridiculed for their hold on traditional values.  Election failure was the story of the day,  but,  in the end,  none of it was true.

In time,  the GOP primary season will be over,  and we can turn our attention to Obama.  Understand that if he can't increase his approval numbers with a wholly compliant media,  while running against the whole of the Republican party,  he has no chance.

After "we" select our candidate,  that is when the Dems need to start worrying.
