This is a Blue Fin tuna.

One similar in size, 746 pounds, sold for $396,000 at a Tokyo auction in January.

The one in our picture weighs 881 but was snagged in a net and died before they could rescue the monster. The professional fisherman, in the photo, had to surrender the fish to authorities because it was not caught on a rod and reel. No fine was ordered.
