9/11 in New York is Mayor Bloomberg's commemoration, not the nation's.

Michael Bloomberg, is a fat cat progressive ruler in New York. He is the 13th wealthiest man in America, with a net worth of over 18 billion dollars. Nothing wrong with being filthy rich except for the fact that it makes it nearly impossible to walk in the shoes of the common man . . . . . . you know, the remaining 99% of the nation. I have kids who are millionaires. They came into their wealth as the result of being in the right place, at the right time. One of them (and I am being intentionally vague) recently told me, "Dad, I have been 'rich' for long enough, now, that I have forgotten what it was like to have no money."

As a rich progressive, Bloomberg's policies as Ruler of New York have made it impossible for a "commoner" to rise above her current economic status. You have to leave New York to accomplish that reality.

It is this disconnect that allows Midget Man to decide to move first responders and people of faith off center stage and out of sight. Me? I would have rebuilt the Twin Towers, already. I would have done all that was possible to repair what was destroyed on 9/11. And I would have, most certainly, continued to honor the first responders and our first response to the tragedy.

We know who the first responders are and were. What we have forgotten is our first collective response. The day following 9/11, hundreds of New Yorkers gathered in a religious service near Ground Zero. On the evening of 9/11, 150 New Yorkers gathered on the steps of the nearby library to pray and remember -- the first gathering of any kind for the purpose of commemoration.

And, on September 11, 2011, Bloomberg will not be able to find room for the First Responders and has decided that religious folks of all faiths are not to be trusted with civility. He is nothing but another PC jerk who has decided that he knows better than all others, that he is the only true adult in the house. That's how progressives think. They have no problem with being and acting like "compassionate" dictators. We see it in Bloomberg and, horrors of horrors, we see it with the current president.

Well, I am sorry [not], but, I will commemorate 9/11 as I choose and ignore the notion that New York has the right to dictate to me my own sense of honor and pride. Understand this, 9/11 was an assault on the United States of America long before it was an attack on New York. We all died that day. We all shared in the very same fear, grief and anger . . . . . . . . all of us.

I hasten to add that this is not a rant against the people of New York or the City of New York. No. It is much more specific than that. It is about Michael Bloomberg and his Administration, alone. Look, New Yorkers are offended by the very decisions that are the subject of this post. We are united. It is Bloomberg who cannot be trusted with civility. It is Bloomberg who is the immature child in the room, and I am thoroughly disgusted in the man.

My final question will surprise some, but it is this: who in the world accepted this man into the Republican Party, years ago ? His "admission" into the GOP proved to me that the Grand Old Party had completely lost its way, that it was about to compromise itself nearly out of existence.

Let's honor 9/11 and do our best to ignore the hapless Ruler Bloomber.
