After tens of millions of dollars spent by outside interest groups, dozens of attack ads and exhaustive get-out-the-vote efforts, Democrats on Tuesday fell short of their goal of taking control of the state Senate and stopping the agenda of Gov. Scott Walker.
Republicans won four of six recall races, meaning the party still holds a narrow 17-16 majority in the Senate — at least until next week, when Sens. Robert Wirch, D-Pleasant Prairie, and Jim Holperin, D-Conover face their own recall elections. A third Democrat, Sen. Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay, easily survived a recall attempt last month.
Remember these folks, the Democrat Party in Wisconsin? Yeah, they are the ones who refused to govern because they lost power in the midterm elections, last November. Well, after running to another state and hiding for weeks on end, they decided to invest in a recall election and spent 35 million dollars trying to defeat six GOP representatives. They needed to win 3 seats; they won 2.
Anyone think Obama is going to win Wisconsin in 2012 ?? As things stand today, not a chance. So much for the lie that the TEA Party has lost its influence. he he he
WI Senate WAS 19-15 GOP
ReplyDeleteWI Senate is NOW 17-16 GOP
One WI GOP Senator, Dale Schultz voted with the Dems against Walker's anti-union bill
If Walkers bill came up today... IT WOULD BE DEFEATED.
And You want to call THIS a GOP "victory" ??
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
I love it. Williams side just spent 35 million dollars and got its butt kicked, in, yet, another election and he thinks its a victory. There is a recall election, next week. Let's see how that goes.
ReplyDeleteOne thing for sure; the people of Wisconsin have made a major change in their political view.
Let's never forget that Wiliam's party is the pro-masterbation party in addition to being committed to running to another state when things do not go their way. What a joke the Democrats have become.
The teabaggers are going down.
ReplyDeleteGallup asked registered voters how a Tea Party endorsement would affect their likelihood of voting for a congressional candidate. The effect is nearly 2 to 1 NEGATIVE, with 42% saying they would be less likely to vote for such a candidate versus 23% saying they would be more likely.
Screwing America's credit has consequences.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try not deleting my comments supposed freedom lover. Have you ever masturbated? You call the Democrats the pro-masturbation party but you didn't answer my question so I assume you have...
ReplyDeleteWalter, you pathetic excuse for a conversational pundit. I deleted a post from you because it looked like an advertisement for your business.
ReplyDeleteNow, remember Christine O'Donnell vs Chris Coons, in Delaware? Guys like me remember and will not let you clowns forget. The Marxist Media went back into O'Donnell's college days and found out that she once opposed masturbation and your side had a fit. Remember that, Walt? Hence the brand, Democrats, the pro masturbation party.
Me? I have never profanely touched myself. And what does that have to do with the fact that the Democrats fear anti-masturbation people.
don't like the brand you have earned?? Tell it to someone who cares.
You celebrate a "president" who lies at the drop of a hat, who is selling our vital interests "down the river," who no more believes in free speech than he practices "doing his fair share." And today, as I write, his Gallup approval rating stands at a record low of 39%. You can laugh all you want but come November 6th, 2012, Obama will be on the ballot and the TEA Party will be sending 40 million to the polls to vote against him.
