Midknight Review -- new and revised: A shutdown is coming. Here is what happens when that takes place

Those services that are deemed as necessary will continue: Social Security checks will continue but new SS claims will be processed; our military will continue to be funded; the Smithsonian will be closed; payments to Planned Parenthood and NPR will cease; Medicaid will continue to function for the poor.

Understand that last week through Saturday, negotiations seemed to be going along, then, suddenly, on Sunday, something changed and the Democrats were no longer in a negotiating mood.

Apparently, they have decided that they have done enough in laying a foundation for blaming the GOP for the coming "misery," in spite of the fact that they, the Dems, have done absolutely nothing for more than a year as to current budget demands. They want a government shutdown and they think that "now" is the best time to blame Republicans.

There really is nothing else to say. The House has passed-on three possible solutions while Reid and Schumer have done nothing in return . . . . except to complain about the 40 million TEA party patriots asking for real solutions. The Dems have completely and shockingly chosen to ignore the midterm butt kicking handed to them last November and have decided to proceed as if there was no election mandate !!

It is time for this bunch of Marxist Misfits to be driven out of Washington, D.C. They are no more patriots that is Mao or Annita Dunn or Cass Sunstein.

Who is to blame. Well, it isn't even close.

The Stated Nonsense from the Left now includes these Progressive goals:

July 2, 2008, Obama had this to say: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
