Midknight Review often runs Nielsen ratings for cable news. What we have found as we track these numbers over the previous months and years is (1) Bill O'Reilly remains the giant in the cable news industry and (2), Glenn Beck is experiencing a resurgence in viewership. During the winter months, his numbers had fallen below those of the unprofessional Greta van Susteren. That has changed. He is now [and once again] the #3 most popular prime time personality at FoxNews. What I have not mentioned in the recent past is the fact that CNN is, also, experiencing a resurgence while MSNBC remains the laughing stock of cable news. Having made those observations, it remains that 12 million are watching Fox during the evening at the same time 4 million are watching CNN and 3 million are sleeping through MSNABC.
