Why no major reporting on the Middle East Crisis from Midknight Review? Good question and we have an answer

Look, I think it a mistake to pontificate on this circumstance before it has taken concrete form. The Left is not as guilty as the Right in this situation. Understand that the Left seldom knows what is really going on in matters of foreign affairs. Their ignorance/silence in this case, therefore, is not a surprise.

The Right, of which I am a proud member, is a little to eager to pronounce its assessment of the event. Whether we are correct in that understanding, we will wait another day or two before jumping into the game.

We are concerned with the involvement or lack thereof of the Muslim Brotherhood.

It is not at all clear that Mubarak will step down, despite claims to the contrary by just about everyone but Midknight Review.

What is the impact between the US and Israel if Obama continues to abandon Mubarak.

Just how bad is Mubarak? And why do we endorse tyrants such as Saddam, the Shah of Iran or Mubarak?

What is the involvement of the Obama Administration in the festering nature of the Middle East. Is he complicit to any serious degree? We really do not know the answer to this question. Obama has had two years to make changes in the American policy as regards Mubarak. What has he done in this regard?

What is our foreign policy with regards to the Middle East, anyway? We have looked and cannot find one.

What is the role of the Secretary of State in all this? Does she have a foreign policy in mind and, if so, what in the world is it?

What is the economic threat to our country? And, what are we doing about it?

These and other questions will receive answers before the end of the week. But, for now, we really just have to wait and see how matters develop.
