Obama rats out Great Britian in nuclear deal with our new friends, Russia.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that part of the deal between made between the US and Russia resulting in the START treatise involves the US/Obama telling the Russia all there is to say about Britain's nuclear deterrent system. We would not know this except for the Wikileaks memo dump(s).

Information about every Trident missile in Britain's missile defense system will be released by the US sometime next week, per the Telegraph. According to the article, "Defense analysts claim the agreement risks undermining Britain’s policy of refusing to confirm the exact size of its nuclear arsenal."

Understand that the fact that Obama decided to use British secrets as bargaining chips speaks volumes about his continuing and unspoken feud with Great Britain. He has an ax to grind with the Brits. They have no idea why, I might add. Neither do we, here in the States. But we are playing the fool if we do not see his angst regarding Briton and his willingness to sell them down the river for whatever the clandestine reason.

Obama's first act of foreign policy as president (February 21,2009) was to send a bust of Winston Churchill, 0n loan as a gift from Great Briton, back to that country -- over their insistence that we keep the gift. He could have moved the bust to a dark quarter of the White House, but, no, he decided to get in the face of the Brits in the most undiplomatic effort one could imagine. And Briton took the return as a clear insult.

Then there was the visit of Prime Minister Gordan Brown to this country in March of 2009. During this visit, Obama refused a joint photo-op and press conference with the Prime Minister. The exchange of gifts between the two leaders, was also something of a bust.
Brown presented Obama with a pen holder crafted from the timbers of the 19th century British warship HMS President (whose sister ship, HMS Resolute, provided the wood for the Oval Office's desk), Obama offered up ... 25 DVDs of American movie classics. Brown's wife, Sarah, arrived with dresses for Sasha and Malia from the UK's trendy Top Shop (with matching necklaces) and a selection of books by British authors. In return, the classless First Couple gave the Browns' children toy models of Marine One, which were taken from the shelves of the White House souvenir shop.

A relatively small matter, but one noted in the British press, was the lack of support from the US in a dispute between Britain and Argentina over oil rights around the Falkland Islands.

On January 11 of this year, Obama named France as our closest European ally . . . . . another slap in the face to Briton. The remarks, during a White House appearance with Mr Sarkozy, reinforce the widely-held view in British diplomatic circles that Mr Obama has less interest in the Special Relationship than any other recent American leader. . . . . While the Left busies itself making fun of Sarah Palin, we have this, one of more profoundly idiot statements of all time:
'We don’t have a stronger friend and stronger ally than Nicolas Sarkozy, and the French people.'Incredible and when we write "incredible," we mean to say, "without any credibility at all."

And now, this business of ratting out the Brits in a deal with America's avowed enemy, Russia. But, of course, Obama no longer believes Russia is an enemy. That explains this latest act of stupidity.

Conclusion: Barack Obama is proving to be our worst president when it comes to foreign policy. His dealings with Briton are only one example of a host of failings. His willingness to act on a personal grudge is childish and belies his immaturity as a leader of the free world . . . . . . something we believe he no longer sees as important. Seriously.

End notes:

1. Mail On Line, a British concern, gives a history that includes the mistreatment and torture of Obama's grandfather by the Brits, a history many believes explains why Obama thinks poorly of Great Briton. The article can be found here. . . . well worth the read.

2. A second article by David Cohen in the NY Times, is worth reading, as well. Cohen gives more background to the Obama/Britain divorce. Read the article here.

  1. Obama seems to get that whole allies and enemies thing mixed up.

I can still remember the days when people thought Carter was the worse president ever.

  2. Pres. Teddy Roosevelt said "Speak softly and carry a big stick." Guess which Pres. said "Jigaboo loudly and carry a basketball."
