We are all aware that Obama promised to put his legislation on line for 5 days before he signed the proposals into law. What good would be accomplished in the keeping of such a promise is beyond rational thought. But he made the promise and he broke the promise.
In a related venue, from July of 2009 - just 6 months after Obama took office - until July of 2010 [12 months] he approved of a Homeland Security policy that failed to supply more than 100,000 requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act according to an Associated Press report. 103,000 requests were made during the 12 months noted with only 500 vetted.
Understand that trillions of dollars have passed through TARP without any accounting. No one knows what has transpired in the keeping of the TARP slush fund. Darrell Issa will investigate this circumstance.
5.4 billion dollars came from somewhere to pay a government loan to GM. GM's CEO lied about the supposed payback telling Americans in a televised ad campaign in the spring of 2010 that the auto company had paid back the 5.4 billion dollars "five years early including interest." The truth was very different. Money was apparently taken out of TARP to pay the bill -- Midknight Review surmised that the money had come from Fannie/Freddie and we still think that is the possible source. Only an investigation will give us the truth.
Don't you know that the collection and destruction of documents is in high gear as we write this post. If fraud is present, no amount of deceit will keep the truth from coming to light, however.
