We direct your attention to our second most popular article, Eight ObamaCare facts - and counting - detailing ... We have a total of 17 entries in this article as of today (1/14/11). The latest documents a list of new taxes because of ObamaCare and a second article confirms the fact that doctor owned hospitals are no longer allowed to receive Medicare and Medicaid patients. 46 doctor owned hospital currently under remodeling/construction have had their projects halted.
Editor notes: understand that the socialist clown, Max Baucus, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, decided months ago to eliminate doctor owned hospitals because he thinks they make too much money. Know that this piece of work, Max Baucus, has received more money from health and insurance lobbyists than any other member of congress according to the very liberal Democracy Now site. According to an article in the Montana Standard, " "In the past six years, nearly one-fourth of every dime raised by Baucus and his political-action committee has come from groups and individuals associated with drug companies, insurers, hospitals, medical-supply firms, health-service companies and other health professionals." Funny how this current crop of Marxist Socialists work: money is a good thing if they are directing its expense after grabbing their "fair share" of the proceeds. Obama made 5.5 million, last year (2009) and that is fine, because "I am the president" of course. This confirms our notion that class warfare is the classless act of politicians who care nothing about the ideals of their agenda. As a consequence, the people that buy into class hatred are never benefited by their allegiance to these no-account leaders. Did Marx benefit the masses? How about Stalin or Mao or Castro and that ignorant Venezuelan, Hugo Charvez? NONE of them give a care about the people. Ditto for Obama, Reid, Baucus or Pelosi. They are all filthy rich while pretending to favor trickle up redistributive economics. Any of you reading this know of anyone who got rich off welfare or any sort of government handout? Seriously, sit down this evening and put on paper exactly what has been done in the past two years that helped you personally. Not what you have heard others say, but has actually came your way. Me? Oh, I got $250 dollars. I had to pay back 75 dollars of that "tax cut" when I filed my 2009 income tax form . 2010? Nothing came my way except a 14% increase in my health insurance bill.
End Notes: re: death of doctor owned hospitals.
1. CNS article: PERMALINK . The new policy is borne of class warfare and hatred for run-for-profit entities such as the doctor owned hospitals. Excepts from the CNS article read: Physician-owned hospitals are advertised as less bureaucratic and more focused on doctor-patient decision making. However, larger corporate hospitals say doctor-owned facilities discriminate in favor of high-income patients and refer business to themselves. The new health care rules single out such hospitals, making new physician-owned projects ineligible to receive payments for Medicare and Medicaid patients. Existing doctor-owned hospitals will be grandfathered in to get government funds for patients but must seek permission from the Department of Health and Human Services to expand. . . . you will want to read the full article.
2. From the Weekly Standard: Excerpts: Under the headline, "Construction Stops at Physician Hospitals," Politico reports today that "Physician Hospitals of America says that construction had to stop at 45 hospitals nationwide or they would not be able to bill Medicare for treatments." Stopping construction at doctor-owned hospitals might not seem like the best way to boost the economy or to promote greater access and choice in health care, but that exactly what Obamacare is doing. . . . . This little-noticed but particularly egregious aspect of Obamacare is, by all accounts, a concession to the powerful American Hospital Association (AHA), a supporter of Obamacare, which prefers to have its member hospitals operate without competition from hospitals owned by doctors . . . . Artz writes, "According to Russell, the AHA, along with Sen. [Max] Baucus (D-MT) and Congressman Pete Stark (D-CA), are responsible for the language in Section 6001." click on this for full article.
Understand that Max Baucus is one of the most active socialists we have in the Senate. He could care less about constitutional restrictions if they interfere with his agenda and he is Senator out of the supposedly conservative state of Montana. Hail to all you comrades in the great North West.
3. Actually, the reported number of hospitals on the chopping block is now set at 60. cf LINK.
