Here are headlines taken from the Rasmussen Reports. What we did not include is the Obama seven day average. Overall, his approval numbers have increased on [seven day] average, moving up from an aprox, average of 46% to 48%, since the midterm elections. This past week, however, his seven day average dropped an entire point (47%) but seems to be trending upwards. Gallup saw a drop in his approval numbers, as well. This drop in Obama's averages is rather interesting. It occurs during the time polls are measuring the effect of his Tucson speech. It does not appear that Tucson helped Obama to any significant measure. . . . a genuine surprise.
That's the good news for the Novice. Here is the bad news, and we leave you with these headlines, again, from Rasmussen Reports:
75% Want Health Care Law Changed
Generic Congressional Ballot: Republicans 46%, Democrats 38%
Voters Now Trust GOP More On All 10 Key Issues
The numbers for the generic ballot are among the highest in modern history for the Republicans, and, are a bit higher than on November 2 (the midterm election).
Whether the GOP is successful or not in their effort to repeal ObamaCare, this does not seem to be an issue on which they can lose, provided they actually make an honest effort as solving the problem.
The fact that voters now trust the GOP across the board ties in to the increase of approval for Congress.
What does all this mean? That Obama scored a few points with his Tucson speech and the GOP is on the right track with the American people.
Rasmussen poll has been proven by it's performance as statistically inaccurate and is a fraud.
ReplyDeleteOverall, Obama's favorability is now 16 points ahead of where Reagan was at this point in his presidency, and employment is 1% lower.
Interesting new polls:
ABC/Washington Post -
52 percent of Americans now hold unfavorable views of the tea party, a new high.
Only 35% of Americans like the Tea Party, about the same number that like Saudi Arabia. Compare this with Russia, the country that Republicans love to demagogue — has a net-positive 47/45 favorable rating.
Even socialism, is viewed more favorably than the Tea Party - 36% of Americans view socialism favorably.
ABC/Washington Post? And you seem to dislike bias. Give me a break.
ReplyDeleteI really do not have time to make a counter argument right now. Maybe later.
I leave you with the opinion of the Democratic Underground.com -- folks on your side. Here is their analysis of the top polling.
"Zogby - Nailed the last election dead on. Uses realistic weight of Dems and Republicans.
Rasmussen - Very consistent, Solid Method
ARG - Solid Method
Pew - Solid Method and large sample
Harris - I only know they tend to agree with these other four polls.
Opinion Dynamics - Their numbers seem reasonable
The Bad ones:
Gallup - Weighted to heavy toward Republicans
Survey USA - They suck!
Mason Dixon - They are consistantly ten to twelve points off Zogby
Strategic Vision - This is a Republican Polling Company. Need I say more?"
