Obama commits PR sin, walks out on a press conference to "go party" with the little lady.

What is being pictured, here? You can see the video on the "scroll down" but this still shows a Barack Obama hurrying off stage because he is "keeping the first lady waiting" . . . an amazingly immature move.

Here is how it played out: The news conference is called by Obama to deal with the Democrat rebellion on his tax deal, a rebellion that threatens the compromise deal; Clinton begins his rather involved explanation; he, then, begins answering questions and then, and then, Obama tells the folks that his old lady is waiting, that he has to leave to attend a party !!

If he is the president, I am Dick Morris. Understand that if this had been a GW Bush moment, this particular moment would be all over the news. This is "buffoonery" with a capital "B". The only reason you will not see this as the morning headline is because of the media's bias. And we are not the only ones who think this was an idiot's move. The very liberal Jon Bershad, writing for the entertainment magazine, Media-ite, had this to say:

“I’ve never seen anything like that,” said MSNBC’s Cenk Uygur after cutting back following a press conference on the tax plan. It had begun with a surprise appearance by President Obama who then brought in a further surprise, none other than Bill Clinton, to help him explain the deal. However, after introducing Clinton and letting him begin to talk, Obama suddenly announced that he was leaving for a Christmas party and vanished, letting Clinton talk for 25 more minutes as if it was 1996! I guess it could have been worse. Obama could have left to go play hoops.

Seriously, what was the thinking here? This has to be one of the worst PR moves in the entirety of the administration. Obviously, Clinton is probably a more popular Democratic figure right now, but they had to imagine this would hurt Obama. I mean, letting a former president explain your tax bill while you head to a Christmas party? A Christmas party?"

We are thinking that we may hear more about this stunt. Maybe not.

Look, the message is clear: "I do not care what you all think of my decision and I have better things to do than stand here and help field questions. Oh, I still think the Republicans are hostage takers and my Democrat friends are sanctimonious. See ya ."

His party is on the verge of rejecting his compromise. The House Dems have voted to not allow a floor vote on the legislation. Obama clearly believes they are bluffing. More than that, he clearly believes it is not a very good bluff and has "called" his buds on their hand by walking out of the room to go play in the sand.

Amazing.
