Top Companies Aid Chamber of Commerce in Policy Fights — Prudential Financial sent in a $2 million donation last year as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched a national advertising campaign to weaken the historic rewrite of the nation's financial regulations. . . . . .
Editorial notes: Expect to see more stories such as the above coming from the Marxist/Socialist controlled. These stories do not mention -- never mention -- the other side of the donor equation. Who gives to the Democrats in totals that EXCEED Republican collections? Unions with its overseas affiliates (think "foreign money"), trial lawyer collectives who give to the Dems in ratios of 9 to 1 (9 dollars out of every 10 going to the Dems), and the Green lobby ( thousands of lobbyist), to name just three concerns.
And what do they get in return? The auto unions have received 80 billion dollars in legacy bailouts - a number that is probably dwarfed by the real number -- whatever that total is; trial lawyers preserved their place in health care reform, escaping tort reform altogether; finally, the dirty little secret as relates to green reform is the fact that billions are to be made in that industry and THAT is what will carry green reform into the future. Jeffery Immalt, CEO of General Electric, as an example typical to green corporate involvement, is in bed with the Administration and his company is inline to manufacture the engines for thousands of wind machines. Oh, and GE owns NBC and MSNBE "news."
