Miller, Murkowski in statistical tie — Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Republican nominee Joe Miller are in a dead heat, according to the latest poll out of the Alaska Senate race. — Miller still leads the field with 35 percent of the vote, but Murkowski received 33 percent for her write-in bid . . . . . .Editor's notes: understand that a media sponsored poll is always suspect. Sometimes, this is due to its bias and on other occasions, it is simply because "polling" is not their preferred and qualified business. This may be an illustration. In the poll mentioned above, the opponents are in a dead-heat while Rasmussen has Miller at 42% and Lisa Murkowski at 27%.
