Rove bashes O'Donnell; O'Donnell supporter at victory party strikes back; NRSC cuts and runs; Update: Soros Republican Castle won't back O'Donnell — Scroll for updates... I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine O'Donnell. It was on Sean Hannity's FNC show. . . . .
Editor's notes: let's get something straight. Karl Rove does not speak for the TEA Party movement. We do not give the slightest care what establishment Republicans believe. Understand that immediately following the announcement of O'Donnell's one sided victory, the National Republican Party made it clear that it would not support her candidacy. "If the TEA Party likes her so much, they can fund her campaign" is the message sent to her supporters. Mike Castles, the loser in tonight's election contest, has also announced his decision to refuse O'Donnell the support due her as winner of the primary vote.
Understand that the RNC and Castle have no reason to refuse support to this woman. "But she cannot win !!" That is their "reason" and they are going to make damn sure that they get to say "We told you so."
Guess what our response will be the next time they call the house asking for money ? Maybe they don't get it. 5 to 7 million conservatives did not vote in the Obama election. They were tired of the crap shoveled by the Old School GOP and the John McCain leadership. If the GOP is not careful, it will be the third party. They are the ones who decried Obama's spending, breaking the spending records they, themselves, set during the Bush years. Under Bush, they approved the "abortion pill," spent record amounts of money, pretended to have solved the healthcare crisis and grew government as fast as any previous Democrat Administration.
The GOP, under current leadership, is not for smaller government, states rights or reduced spending. That is the fact of their conduct. There is no stinking difference betwseen the GOP and the Dems except that the Dems are going to "get there faster" than the GOP. No, no, no !! Ain't going to happen. One liberal party in this nation is enough.
The rebellion against the GOP actually began with the 2006 midterms. The GOP lost the House and Senate to the Dems in that election but, for some unknown reason, the GOP did not get the message. They thought they could continue with GOP politics "as usual" and nominated McCain. The rebellion was on.
And, now, here we are. Does the GOP have any idea how many conservatives there are within the ranks of their party? Maybe not . . . . . . . . . . . but they are fixing to learn.
