Midknight Review -- new and revised: Murkowski turns political traitor and announces her write-in candidacy. "Kiss off the GOP. I only care about me !!"

Who is this woman? Lisa Murkowski. She lost a straight up GOP primary contest against GOP newcomer, attorney Joe Miller about a month ago. For six years, Murkowski served as one of Alaska's Senators. She billed herself as a moderate Republican.

Now we know what "moderate Republican" actually means. Moderate Republican = Independent/Democrat when not running as a ' moderate Republican.'

This evening, Murkowski announced her decision to run a write-in campaign as an Independent.

RINO = Republican In Name Only. Folks like Murkowski are the reason for this "RINO" designation. She has a million bucks in the bank, given to her by Republican donors who, for the most part, will vote for the true Republican in the race, Joe Miller. She does not care about anyone but herself and her private pursuit of power.

She is the reason why we discount the notion of "moderate Republican." Such a Republican is a socialist in sheep's clothing with no concern for traditional values nor Constitutional rule. Will she keep Miller from wining the Senate seat for the Republican caucus ? Time will tell but, from Lisa Murkowski's point of view, "Who cares."
