If we have any self will at all, this will be our only post of the day. We are traveling to Green Valley in St. George, Utah on business and will be on the road until 10pm this evening . . . so that will help in the fight against our addiction. In the mean time, think about these things:
1. The GOP is mounting a preemptive attack against the Democrat threat to pass to the rest of their major legislation during the Lame Duck session of Congress. The news this morning finds the Dems pretending that nothing of the kind is in the works, but we all know that lying is a designed strategy of the Dems (no taxes on the middle class; you can keep you doctor, no problem; Obama was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review; Elena Kagan is not a socialist reformer; Joe Biden will police the Stimulus for fraud, abuse and waste and so on). What the GOP has done is brilliant. They have forced the issue onto the front page and, in so doing, have brought public pressure on the anti-democratic creeps to "stand down."
2. Tiger Woods is learning a major lesson of life -- you can't "practice" you way back into the lime light. He will lose his number one ranking because of last weekend on his way to total disaster ----- if he cannot figure out what is really wrong with his "game" -- if you know what I mean.
3. Obama's polling numbers -- we expect his numbers to improve during the campaign season. BUT, after 3 days of improving numbers on Rasmussen (47,48,48) he is back down to 46%. After just 186 days (give or take) in office, Obama hit 49% approval, down from 65%. That was late July, of '09. What is more important than these polling numbers is the projected turnout for the coming midterm. It makes little difference if one has a 50% approval rating, for example, if only 20% of his supporters show up at the polls. Do not get discouraged with the percentages. The contest is for the hearts and minds of the actual voter. On that score, Obama is getting his skinny butt kicked into the next life.
4. Obama, as a Senator, supported all of the Bush spending - every single cent. He has increased the size of the Federal Government by 25% in less than two years and has spent in 19 months more than all of the Bush/Obama approved spending from 2001 - 2008. In other words, he did not "inherit this mess," he is more of principle in creating this "mess" than Bush ever thought about being.
5. Subversion of the TEA Party - With just 86 days to the midterm, expect the Dems (ACORN AND SEIU) to infiltrate the TEA Party gatherings. It will happen if it is not already happening. This is the way these jerks fight the battle. Understand that all, every single confirmed event, of violence and expressed hate and bigotry. Understand that the KKK was a Democrat (Liberal) organization. All of the original leadership in this bunch of prejudiced freaks was Democrat. All of the billions of dollars in environmental damages, each and every year, are the result of the Liberal terrorist wing of the Democrat Party. The Progressive Black Caucus is 100% Marxist, folks who have publicly - we said "publicly - praised Castro and Hugo Chavez, photo-opts and all.
Understand that the TEA Parties here on the West Coast strictly forbids bigoted speech -- unlike the speech habits of Maxine Waters, that Sherrod woman, the president of the NAACP and so on.
