The press has been reporting that the expected crowd was 100,000. That, of course, WAS NEVER THE EXPECTED crowd size. Beck took out a permit for 300,000 and it appears, at first observation, that close to 500,000 were in attendance with another 130,363 computers turned on to watch the entire 3 hour and 19 minute event. Just in the computer traffic, somewhere in the neighborhood of 200,000 to 300,000 were watching, two of them in our home. Also, it appears that he raised more than 5 million for the children of those soldiers who gave all they could in service to us -- and that is exactly what they were/are doing. This editor is a little confused on the monies collected. We think that in addition to the five million raised for the children, the event also paid for itself, some 4 million or so.
A wonderful event, great from beginning to the very last frame.
The recurring theme of the event will change the way we do some of our reporting here at Midknight Review . . . . . opposing those who oppose this nation, but mounting our attack - perhaps - with a revised rhetoric that allows for a change of heart and a reconciliation of minds based on the founding principles of this nation, principles that reflect the benefit of God and His faith in this nation.
