This picture was taken from the Lincoln Memorial end of the reflecting pool. There are 100, 000 people in that crowd, alone, and we know this because that was the official count 47 years ago when Dr. King spoke to 200,000 people, as he stood at the base of the Lincoln Memorial.Alex Sundby / CBS News:

Here are some facts: the crowd on each side of the long reflecting pool is 200,000 in size, total. We know this because that was the official count of the King crowd.
The field to the "left" in this picture, holds another 250,000 people. Again, we know this from previous and official crowd counts. That field is not full. We guess there are at least 200,000, however. Looking across in the trees to right of the reflecting pool, we believe there is another 100,000 sitting in the shade. There appears to be [easily] as many "in the trees" as are standing in the open, on the right side of the pool (again, 100,000 people for certain).
And, behind the small pool (with the two fountains - near the bottom of the picture), we have some 60,000 . At the "top" of the picture, in and round the Memorial, there may be as many as 40, 000.
Add that up and you have 600,000 people IN THE STINKING PICTURE. And cBS wants to be taken seriously, as do the wannabees who signed on to this idiocy. We won't even think about taking them seriously until they learn out to count to 600,000.
