MoveOn.org thinks Midknight Review a friend. Here is what they want us to do.

Dear MoveOn member,

Last week, President Obama took a brave stand in support of a core American principle: freedom of religion.

Now, President Obama is under serious attack from Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin and much of the Republican Party, who are using the proposed Islamic community center in Lower Manhattan to whip up fear and hate. We all need to speak out and stand with the President in defense of basic American values.

Editor's notes: these folks believe I am a member in good standing. Maybe it's because I signed up for their messages. Anyway, above is their latest update. We think it humorous that these Marxist/Socialists believe standing up for the Constitution in matters of religion is a "core American principle" when they assist virtually all efforts to shut down the influences of Christianity. Most of them are either non-practicing Catholics or out right atheists and hate the Christian religion. Understand that there is nothing wrong with Catholicism in the context of this post. One of our daughters is a member of that faith expression. But a "non-practicing" anything is much the same as an "atheist" in our book. Nancy Pelosi (and John Kerry, the Kennedies, Charles Schumer, Dick Durban etc) is a Catholic who "practices" only the parts of that faith with which she agrees. A most important tenet of that church includes support of a pro-life agenda -- an ethical code strengthened by the very popular Pope John Paul, an ethical Catholic tenet required of those who take Catholic Communion -- something that Nancy Pelosi opposes and works against at every legislative opportunity. In short, she is an abortion freak. Further, she and other "non-practicing" legislators work against religious expression and side with anti-Christian influences at every turn, as well. But, suddenly, they are concerned with "religious freedom." This is the same bunch who thinks it is fine for Obama to hang a Mao decoration on the White House Christmas tree !! Idiocy.

The article from the atheistic MoveOn.org fails to note that 70% of Americans and upwards of 85% of New Yorkers favor moving the mosque a few blocks elsewhere. THAT is the pressure the White House is experiencing but, once again, Obama has decided to govern against the will of the people -- and it is costing him points.
