We listened to Dr Laura's "racist rant" and found nothing wrong with it. She used the word "nigger" but did not use it to denigrate anyone, especially blacks. Any one who has worked with black kids knows that this word is a staple in their body of rhetoric. As a coach, I do not allow the word to be used, without regard of who uses the word. It is repulsive --- but Dr. Laura did not use the word in any negative fashion. We have tried to find the video of the program in question and cannot find it. If we find the audio, we will post it here, in an update.
Of course, Al Sharpton has jumped into the matter, but he is all about politics and has done nothing, over the course of time, to end the black-white divide. It is how he makes his living. His comments are not included here because he is of little report as far as we are concerned.
In fact, before we can close out this post, we have found a link. Of course, it is located on a Marxist site, but you listen and be the judge. Understand that nearly every black high school student alive has used the word many many times. Laura had that miss-use in mind when she made her statement.
