Editor's update: this woman "resigned" yesterday afternoon but without explanation from anyone in the Obama Administration and no mention from the NAACP, where she made these statements. posted 8:17 am, 7/20/2010
Second update posted 11:29 am, 7/20/2010: Megyn Kelly reported that increasing pressure was put on the USDA to fire Shirley Sherrod. It is reported that Obama told the USDA leadership that this story would be all over "Glenn Beck." As a result, Sherrod was "thrown under the bus" after 12 years by both the Obama Administration and the NAACP. After this story broke, the "white farmer" in the story came out and told the media that he believed he was treated fairly by Sherrod, that she, in fact, help save his farmer.
The real story, here, is not the race bias of Sherrod but the collusion of the Administration and the hypocrites of the much discredited NAACP to cap this story. Keep this in mind as this story continues to develop throughout the coming days. . . . . . . . . or maybe the story will die after today (?).
Update 5:55 am 7/21/2010: well, now the NAACP and the White House claim that the Tea Party and FoxNews tricked them, that maybe this woman should not have been fired. Here is an Obama spokesman on the matter: "Not sure what the ultimate result will be, but it’s clear that with new information through the full speech, a longer look needed to be taken. The White House contacted the Department last night about the case and agreed, based on new evidence, that it should be reviewed.”
