Another day and another demonstration of a president totally out of touch with the American people. On May 25, Obama was in the air, flying to California to raise money for Barbara Boxer at the very moment the memorial service was being conducted for those killed on the BP drilling platform on April 20th. He could have told Boxer, "We need to cancel. The families of this disaster expect me to be at that memorial." Or, he could have said, "Barb, if I don't go to that stinking memorial service, I am going to catch it from the right wing.." Whatever. The fact that it didn't occur to him to cancel for whatever reason and that is more than telling.

Prosecution rests.
