Midknight Review has been talking about the Sun's activity for nearly a year. NASA is warning of a very bad year with regards to the Sun's activity.

Last year, Midknight Review predicted the potential loss of the nation's electrical grid because of the Sun's activity. Understand that if scientists know of this possibility, Obama should. We have not seen any headline news articles since last reporting on this potential issue. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . not until now.

NASA: 'Sun is waking up from a deep slumber'; Warns solar storms may wreak havoc on power grids, GPS, air travel, radio communications...

If this happens, it will be an issue just in time for the 2012 presidential elections. Midknight Review is already writing script that features news of an unprepared Obama.

Here is a portion of the text from our source, above:

"The sun is waking up from a deep slumber, and in the next few year we expect to see much higher levels of solar activity. At the same time, our technological society has developed an unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms. The intersection of these two issues is what we're getting together to discuss."

The National Academy of Sciences framed the problem two years ago in a landmark report entitled "Severe Space Weather Events—Societal and Economic Impacts." It noted how people of the 21st-century rely on high-tech systems for the basics of daily life. Smart power grids, GPS navigation, air travel, financial services and emergency radio communications can all be knocked out by intense solar activity. A century-class solar storm, the Academy warned, could cause twenty times more economic damage than Hurricane Katrina.
