First, Obama had to admit the Miranda thingy was a bad idea. Now,he has to reverse himself on Israel. What's next? Healthcare will cost billions ??

In past articles, we have outlined Obama's move against Israel, including his shameful treatment of Netanyahu when the Israeli Prime Minister was left alone after Obama walked out of a meeting to "have dinner with his family." During the April 20 th nuclear proliferation meeting with members of the Middle Eastern states, Netanyahu refused to attend because of fears that Obama would use the meeting to ambush Israel and move to disarm that country of its nuclear arsenal. With all that in mind, understand that Rahm Emmanuel - Obama's chief advisor - is an American Jew and has fought in the Israeli army. He is fiercely pro-Israel.

Midknight Review wonders what was being said behind closed doors in "frank" discussions between the two men. Suffice it to say, that whatever was said, in the end, Emmanuel's point of view won the day. As is the case with Obama's war on terror and the use of Miranda, there is a stark "about face" going in in American/Israeli interaction.

From the Jerusalem Post, we have these summary statements. Understand that the paragraph that presents the notion of Israeli support for a "nuclear free Middle East," is not true if that idea includes the disarmament of Israel. The ONLY reason why Israel survives in a region that awaits its total destruction is a thing called "fear." For years, now, the rumor has been that in the event of an Arab attack, Israeli aircraft fly in the skies above the region loaded with nuclear weaponry. The message is clear -- the Arab enemy will not survive a death blow to the tiny Jewish nation. Obama does not understand "power to peace" and, in his immaturity as a world leader, has nearly brought Israel to the brink of destruction. The "about face" of which we speak is no more obvious than in the following text. --- jds

From the Jerusalem Post:
The Obama administration has “screwed up the messaging” about its support for Israel over the past 14 months, and it will take “more than one month to make up for 14 months,” White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel said on Thursday to a group of rabbis called together for a meeting in the White House.

“During the elections there were doubts about President Obama’s support for Israel, and now they have resurfaced,” Emanuel said, according to one of those who participated in the meeting. “But concerning policy, we have done everything that we can that is in Israel’s security – and long-range interests. Watch what the administration does.” Dennis Ross, who runs the administration’s Iran policy, tried to allay fears during the meeting that by calling for a nuclear-free Middle East, US policy regarding Israel’s alleged nuclear capabilities was changing.

Since 1995, Ross explained, the administration’s policy, supported by Israel, was to push for a nuclear-free Middle East in conjunction with comprehensive peace. Emanuel, according to a participant in the meeting, said, “We understand Israel’s full layer of deterrence.” These comments came during the second of two White House meetings with a carefully selected slate of 15 rabbis from across the US representing the Orthodox, Reform and Conservative streams. The first meeting took place on April 20, shortly after Obama was widely perceived to have treated Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu shabbily during their last White House meeting.
