Was Obama buying votes or just acting stupidly ???

Fox News' Neil Cavuto propagates baseless rumor that Obama bought Rep. Matheson's vote. — Today on Fox News, Neil Cavuto irresponsibly pushed the baseless rumor that President Obama bought Rep. Jim Matheson's
*******
Editor's notes: as it turns out, Rep. Jim Matheson, a Democrat, voted "no" on Obamacare in the first House vote and swears to do the same again if a second is called. A liberal blog, Think Progress, wrote the above headline and news brief. It has been confirmed from "reliable sources" that Rep. Matheson has committed to a "no" vote despite his brother's nomination to the Bench.

Was Neil Cavuto "irresponsible" in his summation? Of course not. The House vote has not taken place. Anything can happen. Cavuto might be exonerated. What is amazing is this: if there was no thought on the part of Obama to buy a vote for his health care plan, why did he make this nomination now ?? Does he not know what it looks like ?? Does he not know that all eyes are on Rep. Matheson? Look, if Obama schemed in making this appointment, he was wrong but playing "hardball," as they say. If he was not scheming for votes, the timing of this nomination makes him appear all the more the novice politician -- bordering on stupid ------ jds.
