The following comes from a web-page with no "identity."
CHICAGO — Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan, boasting his divine stature, on Sunday predicted trouble ahead for President Barack Obama and urged him to do more to improve the lives of blacks and the downtrodden.
The 76-year-old leader said the "white right" was conspiring to make Obama a one-term president, and pointed to his stalled efforts to introduce health care legislation as proof. He said those opponents and lobbyists were trapping him into a future war with Iran that could lead to mass destruction.
"The word 'prophet' is too cheap a word. I am a light in the midst of darkness," Farrakhan said at the annual convention of the movement that embraces black nationalism. "It ain't ego, it's my love for you."
An estimated 20,000 people attended the heavily guarded Saviours' Day event at the United Center in Chicago. Followers — men dressed in navy uniforms and women in white skirt suits with matching hijabs — cheered on Farrakhan with shouts of "Allahu Akbar," Arabic for "God is great."
*********
Farrakhan has called for violence against the "white man" on several occasions. An example of such can be found at NewsBusters. To be sure, the threats are veiled but real, nonetheless. In fact, it is the violent tone of Farrakhan's rhetoric that drives most Blacks away from his appeal.
The most critical issue with regard to "racism" is its generalization of the contributing issues. Some white people misused Blacks for nearly two thirds of our nation's history. At the same time, this mistreatment was opposed by most Whites and it was the white man who fought and died to right this wrong. Those are the facts. What is never mentioned is the fact that ALL black slaves coming to this country from Africa were sold to American merchants by black African money changers. A second fact is this: my family NEVER participated in this obscene action against blacks but I could lose my life by simply taking a walk down Crenshaw Blvd. in L.A. because I am white. Asinine !!
Most people do not know that as many Americans died in the Civil War as died in WW II - all over the single issue of righting the wrong done to Blacks.
Leaders such as Farrakhan ignore these realities as they urge their followers to reject traditional (and true) Christianity and work for the over-throw of this country's traditional values, documents, and very historicity.
Michelle Obama identifies with men such as Farrakhan, whether intentionally or not, with words such as these:
[with Obama] "We are going to have to change our traditions, our history, we are going to have to move into a different place as a nation." (link)
The Obama campaign convinced America to ignore such talk, to play down its 20 year indoctrination in Black Liberation Theology (ala Jeremiah Wrong). Barack spoke in favor of the Constitution, Ronald Reagan, freedom and democracy, open and honest government, and the uniting of an increasing divided nation. All of this was a lie and we are just now having to deal with this evolving reality.
His association and appeal to Marxist and Islamic revolutionaries has to be blunted and rooted out and that is the point of articles such as this -- jds.
