Rasmussen Reports: Going, going, gone . . . . . . ..

Our chart is a measure of
enthusiasm/determination felt on the part of those who agree and disagree with Obama and his job related performance. A minus 17 is one of the lowest negatives of his presidency. These numbers have been as poor as a minus 21 and, recently, as "good" as a minus 10. His numbers in this regard have not been above zero since the middle of last November. The significance of this Rasmussen stat relates to the number of those who will work for and against th election of Obama and his minions.

In the past Massachusetts election, the volunteer effort for the "get out the vote" campaign was very low. Our chart was, in fact, a predictor of this circumstance. By contrast, the day after Obama took office, in January 21, 2008, this particular index stood at a plus 30 and the volunteer effort for Obama was extremely high.

Perhaps a more telling number is the separation between "most likely voters." Today, Sunday the 24th, that separation is 9 points.

The Rasmussen polling numbers show a low of 46% . His voter approval numbers have been as low as 44%. His disapproval numbers are at a near record high of 54% of the population. His "fall from grace" has been one of the more astounding in the history of this country and has been reflected in the November gubernatorial elections in Virginia and the very blue state of New Jersey where two Republicans won elections as governor in states voting for Obama in the presidential election. Most recently, of course, is the Massachusetts Senatorial results and the election of a Republican to take Ted Kennedy's seat, held by Democrats since 1952, in a state that voted for Obama by a margin of 26%.

Obama's ability to get his agenda accomplished is nearly gone. The main-stream media is featuring more and more stories critical to Obama and his proposals. Ben Bernanke is having problems getting confirmed, primarily due to dissatisfaction within the Democrat Party, itself. And Obama has brought in his campaign team as of yesterday. Yes, he is worried and has decided to start campaigning months before any of the Democrat incumbents. So much for doing the job of President. Last year, he literally spent 7 months of the year doing nothing but writing and giving 726 speeches and personal appearances. Now we know that things are not not going to get better for this stranger in our White House.
