Obama has started sounding like the Obama of old only this time, he has nothing to say that we have not heard 726 times or more, if we are just counting the personal appearances, televised talks and international speeches. That's right -at least 726 speeches in his first year - two per day on average - 1452 hours worth of speeches - 182 days worth of speeches - more than 6 months of doing NOTHING but creating and giving speeches. Add in 32 rounds of golf and you have a total of nearly 7 months of doing NOTHING but talking and walking. And now the AP reports the Chief Community Organizer as saying this:

“Let me tell you something, if Republicans want to campaign against something by standing up for the status quo and for insurance companies over families and businesses, that is a fight I want to have,” Obama said Thursday.

Apparently, no one has read him the memo. News flash: You have been in a fight since the Stimulus and you are getting your butt kicked rather badly. . . . . . . . tough guy. 'Nough said.

We will have much more to say beginning Tuesday evening. Just know that the campaign season has officially begun and Obama has already lost 2 rounds. Round four is this coming Tuesday. Round three? That was NY 23rd. Hoffman, a conservative Republican independent came within 4 points of winning this election. It goes into the Obama camp because Hoffman lost BUT we consider this a "shot across the bow" of Ship Liberal and Ship Big Union Moderates. Actually, we will call NY 23 a "split decision" for Obama.
