Pelosi and her impeachment strategy - is there another leg to this issue?

Speaker Pelosi says John Bolton may get subpoena from the House

Does this headline mean that Pelosi may change her mind about sending the Dec. 18 House approved impeachment documents to the Senate,  that the House is not finished with its investigations, that she intends to take the impeachment issue well into the campaign season?

It is fairly obviou that Pelosi does not believe in the stregth of the House Impeachment Case (for lack of any solid evidence demanding impeachment).  As a result,  the Dems continue to investigate, desparately hoping to find a "smoking gun"and continue to dream up ways to slow down or stall the impeachment process.  Of course,  "they" have already stepped off the ledge and the closer to the actual election this impeachment episode comes,  the more of a negative for the Democrats it can be.  Guranteed,  Trump will want the trial to be a four or five week affair,  similar to the Clinton trial.

Couple this problem with the fact that Barack has already gone on record as being unhappy with a possible Warren nomination and sees Sanders is too much of a socialist and the election cycle as a problem,  becomes a serious and overwhelming (?) issue for the Dems.

Think about it.
