Before we Conservatives jump all over this headline, maybe they should stop acting like sheep, and think about what Senate Republicans have been all about:
Editor: True, the Senate GOP has not gone after those who came up with the Maueller Investigation, but, for the most part, they have supported Trump, overtly speaking.
While these Senators will allow for a certain degree of legitimacy when it comes to "the phone call," I do not believe they will agree with the notion that this phone call rises to the level of impeachment.
Understand that the Gateway Pundit wrote this headline, and, while I use this publication more than most of the others, there are times when the Pundit, in its conservatiiveopinion, gets ahead of its skies, as they say.
The dye has already been cast when it comes to two opposing opinions about impeachment. The GOP knows full well that a vote to impeach will bring the GOP to its knees for a couple of decades.
This is not like Nixon. You might not remember, but GOP leadership went to Nixon before the House could vot for impeachment and gave him the bad news and Nixon resigned. That is not happening with the GOP leadership. You can count on this fact: If impeachment is in the cards for the GOP, the leadership will try to talk Trump into resigning . . . . which he may not do. If that is the scenario, again - you can kiss off the GOP chances of political victory for a decade or more.
