Barack Obama decided to take the middle man out of the student loan process (middle man = the banking industry). The government, his government, made all student loans, or at least that was his plan. How did that work out, hating "big banking" and "up with the government?"
Well, before Barack made that change in 2010, student debt totaled 1.54 billion dollars. Today, student debt has grown by 10 fold, from 1.54 billion to 1.56 trillion. Another perfect example of what we get when we vote into office people who have no experience or knowledge of fiscal process and value.
