Two things about the DC student march that gives gun owners encouragement:
The first is the fact that less than 300,000 attended the march in DC (that nation's largest march), with less than 800,000 nation wide.
Secondly, it was not a student demonstration, with less than 15% of those attending in any of the dozen or so demonstrations being high school age. In other words, most high schoolers refused to join the demonstrations.
Finaling, the average attendance per demonstration outside of D.C., was 15,000 to 40,000 people.
