What most people do not know:
(1) The black population is 14% of the nation's total population. But only 59.8% of that population voted in 2016, down 6% from 2012.
(2) As hated as Trump is, in some circles, still, he won the white college educated vote with an on-average vote of both male and female, combined, of a whopping 79 %. How many lies were we told about that number !!??
(3) In 2012, Barack took in 3.5 million FEWER votes, nationally, than in 2008, a clear predictor for 2016. By comparison, GW Bush, took in 12 million MORE votes than in 2000.
I am not telling you much about the NY Times article, because you really need to read the whole thing, here at the NY Times. It appears to be a great article.
Study the following chart, and you will see the very serious problems facing the Democrat Party in terms of election dynamics.
