There is a . . . . . question about whether a news organization — when
deciding what information is newsworthy — should take into account
factors such as whether someone is remorseful for what they said and
whether they promise not to express similar views in the future. Those
considerations seem to be the province of those vested with the power to
punish bad behavior — a parent, a police officer, or a judge — and now, the anti-free speech crowd at CNN. The network has decided that it wants to be our National Parent Network.
Turns out, CNN knows who doctored the 10 year old WWF takedown video Trump used in striking another PR blow to CNN. The network does not like having to share the bully-stage with someone they hate, but that is exactly where they are, sharing the bully pulpit with a President who knows how to street fight the Biased Media.
All of this has a strong whiff of CNN deciding who
is a good boy and who is a bad boy based on the content of their views,
and doling out journalistic punishments and rewards accordingly.
CNN will not win this PR battle, but it may take more loss of credibility before these clowns figure it out. Understand that CNN approval numbers are in the 20 percetile while the Presidens numbers are near 40%. So who is winning this war of words? I think it is obvious.
