Vox: The budget broadly resembles plans put forward by
now-House Speaker Paul Ryan, who as the House Budget Committee chair
released a series of extremely aggressive budgets including trillions in
cuts to programs for the poor. While Trump largely leaves Medicare and
old-age insurance from Social Security unscathed, and boosts funding for
border security, veterans, and defense, he cuts just about everything
else.
What’s more, his budget assumes an extremely unrealistic
economic growth rate — 3 percent, above the currently projected 1.9
percent — due to the administration’s tax plan. It appears the
administration is counting on that growth both to pay for its spending
in this budget and to pay for its tax cuts, meaning the budget doesn’t
really add up at all.
Editor's notes:
"He cuts . . . . everything else:" So how come his budget is billions of dollars more than the present budget? He cut the rate of expansion. Does anyone on the Left understand "expansion?" Apparently not. The fact of the matter is this: virtually all of government will see an increase in dollars, just not as much as they were hoping.
Point two: Yes it spends more than it takes in, just like every budget since Clinton and all Democrat budgets before Clinton. If jobs growth is as predicted, however, the budget will balance, unlike the budgets of the past. You do know that the Democrats don't even believe in a "balanced budget."
Now you know more than before, and, if a Vox reporter, you are [now] more confused than before.
I hope this budget passes. It will hurt so many rural and poor, it seems to target Trump's base specifically. I love it. Cuts to Social Security Disability Insurance, rural healthcare, schools, cancer research, Medicaid ... that should put a hurtin' on those rural Trump rednecks. And the top 1% get huge tax breaks. LOVE IT!

Fake news and now fake comments. None of what you say is true. You don't seem to know how the legislative process works, but how could you, you're a Democrat and Dims haven't used the legislative process for 8 stinking years.

Trump - a dumb person's idea of a smart person.
Another lie or you just don't know what you are talking about. Its not a math error. Its an income projection for several years down the road. Try to keep up, genius.
