The lede says, "Trump . . . . wants to renegotiate climate accord." There is a reason why it is an "accord" and not a "treaty."

Reuters:
Exclusive: Trump would talk to North Korea's Kim, wants to renegotiate climate accord  —  Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Tuesday he is willing to talk to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to try to stop Pyongyang's nuclear program, proposing a major shift in U.S. policy toward the isolated nation.

Editor's notes:  Nothing wrong with talking to the little roach from N Korea.  And,  renegotiate the 200 nation climate accord?  Why not?  It requires the US to do, almost immediately, what it allows the other nations (especially China) to complete decades from now.  Worse, yet,  this is not a treaty,  because a "treaty" would require actual effort on the part of Obama, not to mention diplomacy/compromise with the GOP,  something Obama cannot do, in the first place,  and refuses to do,  in the latter.

In other words,  this is an unenforceable "accord,"  based on a handshake and a promise and nothing more.  It is more symbol over substance, an agreement that completely circumvents Congress and the Constitutional requirements of a "treaty."

  1. Trump isn't too bad.
    He wants socialist universal healthcare.
In his book, he talks about banning assault weapons, as well as background checks and waiting periods.
He supported Hillary and made a huge contribution to the Clinton foundation.
Trump - asked about his base of poor white Americans, he responded, ""How smart can they be? They're morons."

A lot to agree with from Trump.

    1. He was not talking about his base. Secondly, he is a populace conservative, the likes of which we have never seen before. I am not a fan but I hate communism.
