Trump is a "fraud" and a "phony." That's the headline. But this may not be a problem.

A narrow majority of Americans (51%) agree with Mitt Romney's assessment that Donald Trump is a 'phony' and a 'fraud', though 31% do disagree. Unsurprisingly a large majority of Democrats (71%) agree that he is a fraud, along with many independents (45%). Half of Republicans, however, disagree with Romney that Trump is a fraud and a phony, though a third do agree. (text from You Gov, here).

Editor's notes:  If if if YouGov accurately frames domestic opinion related to Trump,  I would think a 51% negative is repairable. I mean,  its not a 60 or 70 point negative.

Keep in mind that Trump will be pitted against one of the most unpopular women in America, and, her "trust"factor is as bad as I have seen in my adult life  . . . .   something around a minus 60%.  At any rate,  of all the times to have a Trump problem,  the Dems have a Hillary problem that seems to get worse with passing of each week.

Any other election cycle,  Trump's potential candidacy would be laughable,  but,  because he may be paired to a near-felon,  we have an election cycle that is as much a mystery as it is bizarre.
