Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
ABC / GOP debate Saturday evening and Carly is the only candidate not invited. I am not watching . . and you? (no article).
The networks are people too. You support Citizens United (Supreme Court decision) so why not freedom of speech for ABC. Carly is a twit, totally insignificant to the presidential debate.
Rick Santorum, just 12 hours after the demise of his own presidential campaign, appeared on MSNBC and was asked to name a single Rubio accomplishment from his five years in the U.S. Senate. Santorum made a valiant effort at spin, but he couldn’t think of anything., Santorum was confronted with the question again, and again, and again. Eventually, he responded, “I guess it’s hard to say there are accomplishments.”
lol
Meanwhile, lesser men spend all week conspiring and blogging how they might, possibly, convince others that people like Rubio are as accomplished as she is.... graduate from Wellesley and Yale, lawyer, a U.S. Senator and the Secretary of State.
You all do not care about experience or accomplishments or we would not have Obama, Hussein, so give me a break.
She condoned the deaths of 32 Navy Seals when the Taliban shot down that helicopter on Aug 6, 2011 . . . . . a revenge killing for the death of bin Laben. She sanctioned the overthrow of Gaddafi and did so with any sort of plan for a replacement government and Libya is now a mess because of her. She has approved of the Bergdahl trade - a flat out traitor in exchange for 5 generals in the Taliban army. She is fine with meddling in Egyptian domestic policies and the Obama attachment to the terrorist group, The Muslim Brotherhood. Apparently she thinks Al Sharpton is a patriot. She has taken millions and millions from Wall Street and certain foreign leaders . . . . . people do not give large sums of money simply because they are nice people . . . . three 20 minute speeches with no substantive content in exchange for 675 MILLIONS dollars? In the real world, that is called "money laundering" Go back to the track and your butt buddies, and forget about intellectual/political debate. You're no good at it.
"675 MILLIONS dollars?" ... "In the real world, that is called "money laundering" Go back to the track and your butt buddies, and forget about intellectual/political debate. You're no good at it."
I get the comment. Just know that I am forced to deal with you with less than intellectual debate because that is where you are. But I don't expect you to understand for the very reason I have just alluded to.
Over the past two years, there have been times when I was willing to show you respect, even to the point of having a friendly association. You have never gone there. Instead, you came to my facebook as if you and I are friends. Only friends come to my facebook page, but you don't seem to get that. Most of my friends are policies wanks, so a political debate does not work, there.
Look at what you have accomplished? Pretty impressive when I am not fighting insults with insults. You cannot be as successful as you are without hard work and extreme dedication . . . . good reason to develop a friendship . . . especially after two years of debate. But that is not where you are. You are only a partisan junkie with little respect for the opposition. Too bad. You are a good guy in your world, but I give up. I don't do long term relationships with my enemies, and clearly, that is what you want to be.

Sorry, I sometimes find too much entertainment in argument. A definite flaw.
DeleteThanks. Politically, we certainly do live in interesting times.
Cool.
