Only 23% of Dems voted for this amendment. Add to this the fact that Democrats invented the KKK, wrote ALL of the Jim Crow laws, and divided the nation via the blood bath that was the Civil War (FYI: they were the South) and you can understand why the party has been the worse thing for American blacks in our national history.
