Obama the new Reagan? The numbers tell you all you need to know.

Here is all you need to know as you compare Obama's self-serving declarations of greatest versus a comparison of the two men's re-elections.

In 1984,  Ronald Reagan won re-election with  58% of the vote and 49 of the 50 states.  He picked up 11 million votes compared to his first election.  He cared about all the people,  and worked well with both sides of the political aisle.

Obama ran for re-election in 2012.  He won,  of course,  but lost 3.5 million votes compared to his 2008 total,  indicating a startling loss of loss of popularity.  He won only 26 states with a 51% margin of victory.

No matter how you look at the totals,  Obama fails miserably in a comparison to the Great One.

This would not be a reason to post,  except for the fact that Obama, in his childish desire to self-promote,  wants history to remember him as greater than Reagan.    I am glad to help in making such comparisons.

  1. Obama decreased the federal workforce, Reagan increased it. Obama decreased federal spending per capita, Reagan increased it. If Obama is a socialist, then Reagan is Karl Marx.

That is the truth and the reality. Look it up.

    1. So, you think Obama is a small government man? Good grief. Government employment fell because he ran out of money. Now that he has increased taxes to their highest collection levels in history, he intends to grow government by 34, 000 in 2016, alone (http://www.federaltimes.com/story/government/management/budget/2015/02/02/2016-budget-jobs/22745907/) And it is a flat out lie to argue that Obama decreased federal spending. In fact, your comment is moronic to the point of being humorous. He has spent more than all presidents in our history, combined. You should know that. The spending cuts you brag about are cuts to his own spending.

    2. Obama decreased federal spending per capita, Reagan increased it.

That is the truth and the reality. It's simply a fact that real government spending fell in three of President Obama's first four years. Here is the proof:

    3. Good grief. There were 242 million folks in the US at the end of Reagan. After nearly tripling the national debt, it was still at [only] 20% of GDP and averaged around 200 million per year or .85 cents per capita. Let's not forget that he had to deal with a recession that was far worse than anything Obama had to deal with and his 4.5% GDP in the five years immediately following the declared end of the recession makes Obama's so-called recovery, look as sick as it is.

Obama, by contrast, has averaged a little more than 1 trillion in annual debt including 2013 with 700 billion and 2014 with 500 billion in a population of 310 million or $3.22 per capita. By definition, the recession was over in 2009 with Obama/Biden declaring 2010 the "summer of recovery." He has average 2.1% GDP in the six years since (versus 4.6% in Reagan's five year recovery). We have the lowest workforce participation rate, as of June of 2015, at its lowest in 40 freaking years . . . . . that pre-dates Reagan, big time. And, oh, I almost forgot: Reagan's debt was never more than 21% of GDP while Obama is at 44% of GDP.

    2. Obama "Sanction domestic terror... New Black Pathers" - that's about all the reader needs to see to know this list is written by a mentally challenged racist. Yea right, Obama's the muslim and his war on christians.

He saved this country from Bush's disastrous recession so you can collect your Gov't money from a healthy US Gov't and economy.

    3. No comment on my list of firsts. I stopped writing for lack of space, btw. You don't remember the order to free the two convicted Panthers in 2009 ? Try to keep up. That last sentence is just more sand lot crap. He is at war with "the White man's religion" and has done more to advance Islam in this country and the world than any other sitting American president. I mean, this is the clown who argues that Muslims helped to make the country great. Did they contribute? Of course. Did they have anything to do with the founding of this nation . . . . . absolutely not.
