There were a few hardcore riders on the road. And the highways were 95% in very good repair; much better than two years.
38.000 miles on the bike in three riding seasons, going on my fourth with my vtx. The great thing about the bike (it weighs close to 800 pounds with a full take of gas) is its weight. It sits down on the highway, in a rain, like a car and is too heavy for most wind storms. I am thinking of getting an 1100 bike, as well, but, on long trips, it will be me and my 1800.
Anyway, I am back. and the political picture has slowed to the speed of a day-time soap-drama. This is the way it will be until this clown president gets out of office. If a faithful reader, you know that I believe Obama has been a "lame duck" of a president since July of 2010 (the month the Dodd/Frank unfinished bill was signed into law). Since that time, Obama has been all about blow and scandals to the point of being the most prolific president in those two categories, in American history.
I will be posting, politically, within a couple of hours, and we can all get back on track with our dislike for Central Planning. Talk to you in a few.
Update #2: travel costs: $98 for the 1,600 mile trip in fuel costs; $176 for two nights on the road; $40.00 for food (total).
