From Salon: Well, it’s only been 24 hours as I write this since Starbucks announced its #RaceTogether campaign and already it can safely be said to have transitioned from “experiment” to “debacle.”
Editor's notes: you would think this would be touted as a great idea. I mean, it certainly qualifies as a feel good, Utopian idea, no?
I don't know about others, but the last thing this old man wants to deal with, is some punk, know-nothing college type wanting to share with me, on the issue of race. I am a Boomer. We invented the end of Jim Crow and the KKK. It was my generation that first hoped for a brave new world. But, the Al Sharptons of this world, got in the way, and, with a racist president at the helm, the dream has faded for a while. But Obama and his band of thugs will be soon be gone, and things will get better. They certainly cannot get worse.
Anyway. The point of the Salon article is this: even the Utopian Left sees this as a failed idea, the Starbuck's thing. Funny, but it failed in 24 hours. We don't need to talk about race relations, we just need to get rid of the Chicago thugs running our government, and we will be fine . . . . . . that and a little jail time for the anarchists running around burning and looting those who are innocent bystanders.
