All you wanted to know about Fox News but were too bored to ask.

How does conservative cable compare to the three liberal cable networks
(yes "they" need three networks to keep up).  As a "key" to understanding

the numbers,  O'Reilly has 3.067 million viewers in his first broadcast,
compared to 399,000 for CNN  --  a audience of 10x the size of his
same-hour competition. This reflects revenues charged per minute,  and
the like.  more than 15 million tune in Fox in the evening,  compared to
CNN with its all day audience of 3.4 million viewers and MSNBC and its
4 million viewers.

The early morning shows have this record as of a few days ago:

Fox and Friends (3 to 6 am) with 900,000;  CNN with 345,000; MSNBC (Morning Joe) with 260,000.

9 am (pst),  Outnumbered has 2 million viewers to almost nothing for the others  (not even listed).

Which means that the 24 hour program cycle has more than 20 million Fox viewers,  easily twice as many as the other three networks,  combined.

Demographics for men v women is 56% to 44% at Fox.

According to Forbes most recent numbers:

Fox News spends roughly 45% of its programming on factual reporting, and 55% on commentary and opinion. On the other hand, MSNBC dedicates an average of 15% of its programming to factual reporting while other 85% is dominated by commentary and opinion. CNN is the only channel of the three to spend more time on factual reporting than opinion and commentary. The mix appears to be working in Fox News’ favor as it continues to enjoy higher viewership than both MSNBC and CNN combined. It appears that Fox News will continue to dominate the news networks in the coming years. Let’s take a brief look at the drivers behind Fox News.
