WASHINGTON (AP)
— The official sign-up season for President Barack Obama's health care law may
be over, but leading congressional Democrats say millions of Americans facing
new tax penalties deserve a second chance. Three
senior House members told The Associated Press that they plan to strongly urge
the administration to grant a special sign-up opportunity for uninsured
taxpayers who will be facing fines under the law for the first time this year.
Editor’s notes:
Here is the Democrat nightmare when it comes to fines and
ObamaCare. The fines are cheaper than
the annualized premiums, so, “fines” or not, folks with no money will choose the
fine. The first year, 2013,
the fine was $95 . This
year, the second year, on April 15, the fine for not having insurance will jump
to $325 per person, per year, which is cheaper than the annualized premium of $1,200+ , an out of
pocket cost with for the working poor. Next year, in April of 2016, an election year, the fine will be a whopping $695 .
What the three Democrat House members fear, is something that will happen year in and year out. They want a solution for this year, but, next year, the fines double and, again, in 2016. What is their plan, then? Did no one in the Utopian Party look further than nose(s) as to project cost to the consumer? Apparently, these Utopian Dems simply do not get just how much of a disaster ObamaCare is becoming to the future of the Democrat Party.
I have a
friend, working in Denver .
Last year his monthly, out of pocket, premium was $80 per month. This
year, it is $189. If it more than doubles, next year, and then the next,
he will not be able to afford the insurance and will be forced to pay
the fine . . . . . if, in fact, the Leaches in our government,
will allow him to opt out. Give this
thing until 2020, and no one in the
working Middle Class will be able to afford this “safety net,” and ObamaCare will be done.
Without "repeal and replace," ObamaCare is already dead. We are just gathering at the cemetery, waiting for someone to give its eulogy.
