While I use and respect Matt Drudge and his report, this particular headline had nothing to do with the actual article in the NY Times.
If you read nothing else, and the vast majority of all headlines are all that folks read. If you are one of those readers, you will come away from scanning Drudge, in this case, with the opinion that Jeb Bush aggressively went after Romney, targeting him in a personal way.
While Bush's early announcement, that he was serious about running for the presidency, was a surprise to the donor pool, his action was more about sucking up as much campaign cash as possible, from all GOP hopefuls. Here is the Times headline:
Support Waning, Romney Decides Against 2016 Bid
and nothing in the article indicates a personal attack coming from J Bush.
Point of post? Its best to distrust all media, including those coming from the Right, even this blog. If an author will not verify her informational claims and/or feature misleading headlines, you will never know if you remain a casual reader. Trust and verify is the way to go, with "trust" being the second step, no?
