Actually, Chris Matthews does a good job in questioning the State Department's spokeperson . . . . . . . and why the hell has she been in the news the last three days, anyway.

  1. "We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need, in the longer term – medium and longer term – to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups. .... there is no easy solution in the long term to preventing and combatting violent extremism, but if we can help countries work at the root causes of this – what makes these 17-year-old kids pick up an AK-47 instead of trying to start a business? Maybe we can try to chip away at this problem, while at the same time going after the threat, taking on ISIL in Iraq, in Syria, and helping our partners around the world.” -- U.S. State Department spokesperson Marie Harf

Sounds intelligent to me. If it were up to the stupid people, we'd start throwing nukes at 'em.

Remember when Mitt Romney was praised for having a superior foreign policy to Obama? How different was his statement during the 10/22/12 debate where he said:

"Let me also note that, as I said earlier, we're going to have to do more than just going after leaders and — and killing bad guys ... We're also going to have to have a far more effective and comprehensive strategy to help move the world away from terror and extremism." - Mitt Romney

    1. How Utopian. Put some meat on the bone, when you start talking about defeating the enemy via increased funding to countries who do not share our culture or values. What are you talking about . . . . 40, 50, 100 years. And how much money are you talking about? Obama has already spent 10 trillion dollars we DO NOT HAVE. Good grief. The suggestion is as stupid as stupid gets (note the correct way in which "stupid " is used, Stupid). Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people will die because no one on the Left sees the need for action, now. And the American people flat out do not agree with any of this.
