U.S. sending 400 troops to Syrian . . . The U.S. military is planning to deploy more than 400 troops to help train Syrian rebels to fight the Islamic State, along with hundreds of U.S. support personnel, a Pentagon spokesman told Reuters on Thursday. Reuters
Editor's notes: here is what is most disturbing about this bit of news: the fact that ISIS has been on the rampage in Iraq for a year or more, and Obama is just now sending "trainers" to Syria to prepare the "Free Syrian Army" (spoken as if there is such an entity) to fight ISIS. There is no sense of urgency with Obama. His only concern, emphasis on "only," is keeping the debacle in Iraq off the front pages of American newspapers. After all, Obama has his dictatorial agenda to finish and he does not want the distraction of failed war in the Middle East to get in the way.
Point of post? Just to let you know what is not happening in the world of war.
