A daily update - a little late in the day, but, hey, it is here. ( An abbreviated version with comments for the brilliant editor of this blog).

The Right Stuff In The Morning

Monday, January 26, 2015

Good morning! In the news today: Fiorina, Walker star at conservative cattle call in Iowa; Christie forms a PAC; Palin fails to wow; Obama want to wall off ANWR; McDonough's egregious gaffe; and . . .  Mohammed in the Capitol?

Have a great day.

Fiorina, Walker, stir Iowa conservatives . . . Former Hewlett-Packard chief executive and current American Conservative Union Foundation Chairwoman Carly Fiorina and battle-tested Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker left the crowds stirring after a nonstop ten-hour festival in Des Moines that exposed voters to 27 speakers and at least 10 GOP presidential hopefuls. Washington Times

Saudi King Abdullah "couldn't stand" Obama . . . The king could not stand President Obama because the president was supportive of the Arab spring, because the president did not support Hosni Mubarak in Egypt – in fact turned his back on Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. White House Dossier

Editor's note:  The word is out in the Middle East  . . .  all over the Middle East,  that B Obama is a backstabbing,  sefl-serving American.  He is more the black eye than  GITMOS !!
Obama proposes to lock up ANWR's oil . . . Alaska lawmakers were furious with the administration’s proposal — for decades Alaska Republicans and Democrats have been pushing for opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling. “What’s coming is a stunning attack on our sovereignty and our ability to develop a strong economy that allows us, our children and our grandchildren to thrive,” said Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski. Daily Caller

Editor's note:  Hey,  he is going to do it anyway.  Thank you Establishment politicians in both parties for creating a presidency that is so weighted to power,  that Congress is now almost totally irrelevant.
Battle against al Qaeda severely hampered . . . In the latest Mideast foreign policy and counter-terrorism disaster, the fall of the U.S.-allied Yemeni leader has resulted in a severe setback for operations against the Yemen-based Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, perhaps the most dangerous branch of the group. White House Dossier

Editor's note:  Just four months ago,  Obama pitched Yemen as a prime example of his war on terror.  Now,  the US is having to hurriedly retreat from that country and permanently close the embassy, there.  Sadly,  Yemen IS an example of his policies on terror.  Kind of laughable,  don't you think?
