Clearly, H Obama takes no responsibility for the scope of this midterm disaster. And this fact, his refusal to accept any credit for the worst election in modern day Democrat history, represents a change, such as it is, from the last great midterm disaster, in which he admitted that election to be a "shellacking."
As to November 4, he will agree with others as to the one sided nature of the election's results, but he volunteers no conclusion whatsoever except to say, "I hear the voters, especially the 2/3 majority that did not go to the polls." He wants folks to believe that the "midterms" are not representative of the people, especially since he is not on the ballot, himself.
80,000 in Denver (2008) |
7,000 in Ohio - 2012 |
He as gone from this (2008) to this in 2012.
He wants all to forget that he insisted in the days just before this election, that his "policies [were] on the ballot, all of them."
According to Obama, he believes "The electorate is telling us they want Congress to get things done, that Congress is broken. My job it to fix Washington. I am not going to surrender any of my principles."
Of course, I say again "OF COURSE," the electorate did not vote against Congress, in this election so much as it voted against Obama, personally (33%) and his policies (70%). Keep in mind that a Republican won a Senate seat in blue Colorado; Republicans won Senate seats in blue West Virginia, in blue Iowa, in blue North Caroline, in purple Georgia. in purple Alaska, and, possibly, purple Louisiana.
The notion that this midterm was about punishing the GOP for its part in "gridlock," is as humorous a conclusion as is the 9/11 deniers belief that GW Bush took down the Twin Towers, or that the Clinton's are the saviors of the Democrat Party. In fact, let's not forget that Tennessee is run by the GOP (Al Gore's home state) and every state office plus the Governor's are held by the GOP in Bill Clinton's home state of Arkansas.
A GOP governor won in Harry Reid's home state of Nevade, in blue Wisconsin, in dark blue Main, in blue Maryland, in dark blue Massachusetts, in purple Florida and Ohio.
The House now has a super majority of 243 GOP members, with the Republicans adding 13 seats to their 2014 majority.
The Senate turned red with the GOP picking up 8 seats including Alaska, for a total of 53 seats, with Louisiana being a possible 54th addition, come December 6.
The state's gubernatorial alignment has changed, and, radically so, since Obama began his pretense at being a serious president. Including the recent 2014 midterm results, only 17 states are, now, governed by Democrats, 2 states by independents and a shocking 31 states are run by the GOP, including key swing states of Ohio, Florida, and Wisconsin.
Colorado moved from blue to purple, in this election, as did Connecticut, both states, now, very much in play for the 2016 elections.
1,400 local and state seats, formerly held by Democrats, have flipped during the Obama years, as well.
Only the most rabid truth denier would fail to see the dynamics of this election and its stark repudiation of the Obama agenda. The Democrat party is at it's weakest since the mid-1920's.
And all of this bad news can be attributed to the Three Stooges of National Politics, Reid, Pelosi and Obama. This bunch has taken the Democrat Party from a historical superpower, in 2009, to a giant nothing-burger, six years later. More than this, their combined incompetence has resurrected the GOP brand and has given the Grand Old Party, a new shot at relevancy in the domestic and political economy.
The good news is this: Obama has two years left and does not know that he has already destroyed the Democrat Party. The remaining two years of this man's administration, are nothing more than an extended grave-side service. A "final nail in the coffin" will be his extended amnesty of more than 4 million foreigners.
Me? I think it is all good. BTW, that "fundamental transformation" Obama was talking about in 2008? It only applies to what he has done to the Democrat Party and the total destruction of the Progressive/Utopian agenda, within that party.
And I can assure the readership, that we conservatives, welcome Obama's help in giving us a great opportunity as to the 2016 elections.
